Miss America Parade info

All Star One & the Miss America Parade

All Star One is so excited and proud to be participating in this year’s “Miss America Show Us Your Shoes Parade” on Saturday September 13th.  All cheerleaders on Little Bang, Explosives, SkyLights, Bomb Squad and Big Bang are invited to participate and stunt along the parade route. Little Lights are invited to walk in the parade. Due to age restrictions, Snaps and Sparklers are not able to participate in the parade, but are welcome to come out and cheer us on! This is a voluntary event. All cheerleaders who plan to attend must complete a waiver - available at the desk at the gym.

The parade begins on the Boardwalk at 5 pm at Rhode Island Ave. It should be in front of Boardwalk Hall at around 6 pm, ending at Hartford Ave around 7 pm. We will be stunting and performing along the entire parade route and will be “judged” near Boardwalk Hall. The parade route is approximately 2 miles long. Please consider this information when deciding if your child will be walking with us. Parents are encouraged to visit the Miss America Website at www.MissAmerica.org/parade for detailed information regarding parking, seating and order for the parade. The parade is held RAIN OR SHINE!

Cheerleaders should arrive at 3:45 pm at Rhode Island Ave & the Boardwalk . Please drop off your child to an AS1 staff member & then park. All girls should wear their navy practice skirt and red practice tank (if they don’t have one they will get it at practice this week). All cheerleaders should have white cheer sneakers on with their hair in a sleek ponytail with the practice bow. Cheerleaders will not be permitted to carry anything with them. NO phones, NO water bottles, NO snacks, NO bags.  All Star One will have a car in the parade with the girls and will provide drinks during the parade route. Parents are NOT permitted to walk with the teams. Due to the crowds and reserved seating on the boardwalk parents will NOT be able to “walk along side” of our teams. You can meet your child at the end of the parade route at Hartford Ave & the Boardwalk at 7:00 pm. Please plan your viewing area accordingly.  Parents please be sure to have your Group Me app notifications on before and during the parade.

All Star One will be open Tuesday 09/02, Wednesday 09/03 and Thursday 09/04 from 5:30 - 7:00 for open tumbling. This is free for all team members, $10 for non-members.
